Becoming a member

You become a member of Daiyuzenji by participating in our activities on a regular basis. Activities at Daiyuzenji are open to all. With the exception of certain classes with fees (primarily tea ceremony and flower arranging), the activities are free of charge. (We sometimes suggest a donation amount for special events.) Daiyuzenji is entirely dependent on the donations of members and other supporters to keep the doors open. Membership at Daiyuzenji is of two types, Full and Associate.

Full Membership

Full members commit to attending training at the temple at least once per week, and to supporting the temple with a monthly donation according to their ability. Note: you are welcome to become a full member regardless of ability to donate.

When submitting donations, members have the option of having a monthly donation automatically deducted from a credit/debit card, of mailing it in, or of dropping it off in our donation box.

Associate Membership

Associate members have no attendance or monthly donation commitment, but offer a donation each time they visit the temple.
